New trailer & viral clip for ‘Prometheus’

Yesterday we got a look at a new trailer for ‘Prometheus’ to promote its IMAX 3D release and today another new trailer has appeared online with lots of new footage.

‘Prometheus’ weekend continues with another viral clip appearing online promoting Weyland Industries artificial intelligence.

Hit the jump to check out both.

“Big things have small beginnings” is a theme that runs through the trailer and the viral clip that is a clever nod to the fact that ‘Prometheus’ is definitely linked to the ‘Alien’ universe that director Ridley Scott denied for a long time.

Full credit to Scott for trying to keep it a secret. The viral clip alone is enough to get any ‘Alien’ fan frothing at the mouth and the trailer feels like we’ve seen way too much.

In an age full of spoilers, dodging anything that will ruin ‘Prometheus’ is going to be tough but it looks like the film will reward those who do.

Synopsis:

“Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.”

‘Prometheus’ is released 7 June 2012 in Australia and 8 June 2012 in the US.
