Trailer for doco ‘Comic-Con IV: A Fan’s Hope’

For so long we have dreamed of attending Comic-Con in San Diego. We were meant to go this year but, unfortunately, the Australian Tax man decided to take all the money we had saved to buy ceramic busts of Batman and movie quality Indiana Jones replica whips.

Documentarian Morgan Spurlock attended Comic-Con in 2010 and collaborated with Stan Lee and Joss Whedon to put together the documentary ‘Comic-Con IV: A Fans Hope’.

A trailer for the film has been released and unlike most of Spurlock’s films, he is totally absent from the trailer and possibly the film. The focus is on the fans and the famous faces that champion the great event.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer.

Hopefully, the film doesn’t make too much fun of the fan boys or devolve into the jocks impression of geek culture as portrayed in the mindless television show ‘The Big Bang Theory’.

‘Comic-Con IV: A Fan’s Hope’ is released in the US on 6 April 2012. It currently does not have an Australian release date.
