If you’ve ever wondered that a historian’s nightmare looks like, it’s ‘Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter’.
All historical accuracies aside (or lack thereof) the film looks like a lot of fun and the latest red band trailer features lots of blood and vampires.
It’s the best trailer for the film so far and sells the concept well.
The film is based on the novel of the same name and reimages the life of Lincoln as an axe wielding vampire killing badass.

We can officially state that it’s ‘Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter’ week. Yesterday we were treated to the first teaser and almost 24 hours later a new international teaser has appeared showcasing more footage and story as well as a new featurette on the film.
The featurette works hard to sell the film with producer Tim Burton and director Timur Beckmambatov talking passionately about the project.

Abraham Lincoln historians will be doing backflips of rage today with the release of the first teaser trailer for ‘Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter’.
The film is based on the novel of the same name and reimages the life of Lincoln as an axe wielding vampire killing badass. The teaser shows off Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) putting his handy axe and top hat to good use with a brief glimpse of a few crazy action set pieces.

17 JanYou’ve probably noticed on The Popcorn Junkie that we’re a little obsessed with ‘Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter’. The idea is crazy and we’re praying that Abe has a few vampire hunting tools hidden in that famous big hat of his.
Timur Bekmambetov of ‘Wanted’, ‘Night Watch’ and ‘Day Watch’ fame is directing, and if his previous films are anything to go by, he is the craziest man for the job of turning one of America’s greatest Presidents into vampire killer.
The film is based on a book and promises to meld historical events with supernatural elements. Oh and Abe’s weapon of choice is an axe, which totally kicks four scores of arse.
