2012 is a huge year for blockbuster films but it also seems to be the year of brave new different methods of marketing a film. The film that’s making the biggest impact in our opinion is Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’.
‘Prometheus’ has been one of the first films this year to have a teaser trailer for a trailer as well as the brilliant viral marketing campaign featuring Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland, giving a speech at TED 2023 that you can watch here.
At first the idea of a teaser trailer for a trailer really irked us but the footage is too good to dismiss.
A new full length trailer for ‘Prometheus’ will debut at an event on 17 March in the US. A teaser trailer for the trailer has appeared online with lots of new footage.

‘Prometheus’ is released 7 June 2012 in Australia and 8 June 2012 in the US.
